Bolivian fintech Peso will use pre-seed capital led by Tether to widen local fiat deposit and withdrawal channels and develop its merchant collection and virtual account infrastructure. Peso’s app gives Latin American customers one account centered on Tether’s USDT stablecoin, with tools for saving, spending, investing and cross-border transfers. In Bolivia, Yango users can select USDT to pay for food delivery. Offline payment collection services and virtual accounts opened under users’ own names round out Peso’s offering. QR codes and ACH channels connect USDT with Bolivia’s banking system, allowing users to convert between stablecoins and local currencies.
