A Japanese video game giant says an unauthorized third party has accessed more than 11.7 million records tied to its online account service. Capcom says the incident hit 11,774,247 Capcom ID records worldwide containing email addresses and account data such as creation dates, last login times, number of logins and the IP address used for the last login. Capcom ID is the company's account service, which players need to play certain Capcom games online. Of those records, 43 also contained dates of birth, genders, countries or regions and nicknames. The company says some accounts also had their passwords changed.
