Viatris set an annual cost-savings target above $50 million by the end of 2028 as its $1.65 billion Pacira deal remains pending. The target came during Viatris’ Nov. 5 third-quarter earnings call. Interim CFO Paul Campbell said the company expects annual cost synergies above $50 million by the end of 2028. Viatris sees further savings as it completes the integration, but gave no estimate for those potential savings. The $50 million-plus figure is a target, not savings already realized. Viatris agreed to acquire Pacira for $36.50 per share in cash, representing an equity value of $1.65 billion.
