The asset manager has moved to withdraw its filing for a fund built around Lido's staked ETH product. VanEck has asked regulators to withdraw its application for a Lido staked Ether exchange-traded fund, according to reports from Cointelegraph and crypto.news published on October 15, 2026. The filing had proposed a fund structured around stETH, the liquid staking token issued by Lido Finance. Lido is the largest liquid staking protocol built on Ethereum. It allows users to stake ETH and receive stETH in return, a token that represents the staked position while remaining tradable.
