Russia is prepared to ship as much diesel to the United States as it wants from its export volumes, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on state television. The offer follows the Trump administration’s decision to ease sanctions on Russian fuel. Three tankers carrying Russian diesel are already on their way to North America. Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the move as a sensible step to increase global supply and bring down fuel prices, which have climbed amid conflicts in the Middle East. The deal has drawn criticism from both parties in Congress.
