UAE-Led Operation Identifies More Than $39 Billion in Scam-Linked Assets

The UAE Ministry of Interior announced Thursday, Oct. 22, that Operation Confrontation Ghost identified more than $39 billion in funds and cryptocurrency linked to scam activity and resulted in more than 960 arrests. The UAE-led operation involved 30 countries and technology companies and included raids on 29 fraud centers. Participating countries are working to recover the identified assets, but no recovered total was provided.
