President Donald Trump has canceled planned campaign stops in Kansas and Iowa, opting instead to participate in nationwide phone-in rallies. This decision follows several weeks of travel aimed at bolstering Republican election prospects for the 2026 midterms. The move comes as Senate races in both states remain unexpectedly competitive, with polling showing close contests. Trump’s change in strategy may influence market perceptions of Republican candidates’ momentum in these states, particularly in Kansas where the governor race is closely watched.
