A cross-market trader increased the number of shares in a prediction-market bet on Democrats winning both chambers of Congress by more than 50% on Election Day, before the first polling places closed. The purchase added to an existing wager on a Democratic sweep, which would give the party control of the House and Senate. The additional shares went into the account's election-market position. The trader had put about $84,200 into congressional-control positions on Nov. 2. Roughly six hours later, the account opened a separate directional position on Hyperliquid. The Election Day purchase increased its prediction-market holdings.
