[Today's Won] USD/KRW closes at 1,330.3, lowest level of 2026

USD/KRW closed 1.1 won lower at 1,330.3, its lowest level of 2026 and 14.5% below the year's high of 1,555.8. The exchange rate finished at 1,330.3 on Oct. 19, down 1.1 won from the previous close. The won strengthened as a lower USD/KRW rate means fewer won are required to buy one dollar. The pair opened at 1,336.0, 4.6 won above the previous close, before ending 5.7 won below the opening level. It declined for a second consecutive session.
