Three of four communications-services stocks in this week’s earnings scorecard beat analyst earnings-per-share estimates, while the State Street Com Svc Sel Sec SPDR ETF (XLC) was down more than 14% year to date. Alphabet (GOOG) and Verizon (VZ) were among the major companies reporting earnings this week. The scorecard’s tally covered four communications-services stocks.
