CDC Gaming: Inside the latest prediction market developments

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the First Circuit scheduled oral arguments on Wednesday in the Robinhood Derivatives appeal of their case against the Massachusetts attorney general and state gaming regulators that was dismissed by a federal district court. The appeal is a regulatory and jurisdictional challenge regarding whether sports-event contracts and prediction markets can be regulated by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Robinhood filed the suit to seek declaratory and injunctive relief against state gaming regulators and the attorney general.
