The Badge Means Someone Checked. Apple’s Fine Print Says Not to Rely on It Anyway.

When your smart home stops being smart, the question of who is responsible usually leads to a dead end. Last week, I examined the fine print on Meta’s Muse Home Link in my previous post , where the company essentially told users that because their skills are community-built, they should not be relied upon for anything safety-critical. It was a classic case of shifting the burden of reliability onto the user, leaving the community to figure out if a device actually works when it matters most. Apple plays a different game.
