U.S. customers now have access to OKX Shield, a new account protection program from cryptocurrency exchange OKX that offers eligible users up to $500,000 in reimbursement after an account takeover. The benefit is tiered, so the $500,000 figure is the highest limit available under the program, rather than a standard payment for every affected account. OKX positions Shield as a security measure for customer accounts, with reimbursement available when an account is hacked. The account tier determines the cap that applies to an eligible user’s case.
