The Tether USDT freeze had a temporary impact on around 1.45 million USDT that were stored in four THORChain vault addresses, after the Tether company reversed the move in a few hours. One question that remained was why Tether decided to block users from accessing their funds and what reasons made the company reverse the decision for the affected addresses. Chad Barraford, the technical co-founder of THORChain, explained the situation in his post published on X on Friday. These restrictions involved a total of 1.45 million USDT in the four wallets. However, the freeze only lasted for a short while.
