Tesla Details Three Roadster Versions, With Rocket Available by Invitation

Tesla has outlined three versions of its new Roadster, giving buyers a road-ready two-seat model, a limited-run track edition and an invitation-only Rocket variant with one seat. Performance is described as road-ready and has two seats. The limited-run Thrust is designed for track use, with cold-gas thrusters at the rear. It accelerates from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in less than one second. Rocket has one seat and cold-gas thrusters arranged around the car. The system is designed to provide forward and upward acceleration, as well as sideways rotation.
