Syria has officially denied any plans to deploy troops to Yemen amidst growing military cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Damascus clarified that its recent defense agreement with Riyadh is limited to training and advisory roles, contradicting reports of potential troop deployment. The denial comes amid conflicting accounts, with some Yemeni officials suggesting that Syrian personnel have already been involved in activities within Saudi Arabia and Yemen. This development has implications for regional stability, particularly concerning the ongoing conflict involving the Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen.
