U.S. Senator Susan Collins is reportedly still working with Republican operatives linked to an alleged pay-for-play scheme. The allegations, which suggest that Collins funneled government contracts to a major donor who then made illegal contributions to a super PAC backing her, have resurfaced amid her 2026 re-election campaign. The FBI previously stated that its investigation found no evidence implicating Collins or her campaign. However, the involvement of former Navatek CEO Martin Kao, who pled guilty to related charges, continues to cast a shadow over her campaign efforts.
