Stellar (XLM) says cross-border payments settle in about five seconds

Stellar (XLM) said its cross-border payments network can settle in about five seconds with network fees under a cent, highlighting a payments model built around moving value across currencies rather than transferring its native token alone. The company’s page, published Oct. 28, 2026, also pointed to more than $2 billion in monthly volume and 99.998% uptime since 2014. According to Stellar’s own materials, the network is designed for banks, enterprises and payment providers that want to pay in one currency and deliver in another.
