Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, plans to enter about 40 new emerging and developing markets as demand for on-chain payments and digital dollars increases, CEO and Co-Founder, Jeremy Allaire, told Reuters. Speaking on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings in Bangkok, Allaire said the industry was transitioning from early adoption toward mainstream use driven by individuals and businesses seeking access to internet-based financial services.
