SpaceX Discloses $480 Million in Tesla Megapack Purchases

SpaceX disclosed $480 million in Tesla Megapack purchases through Sept. 30, adding a detailed account of the companies’ business ties as they continue reviewing a possible combination. The purchases totaled $151 million in the third quarter. SpaceX recorded the Megapack purchases as property, plant and equipment. The figures cover the first nine months of the year and the quarter that ended Sept. 30. Tesla recognized $221 million in revenue from Megapack sales to SpaceX in the third quarter and $626 million for the first nine months. At quarter-end, Tesla had $729 million in receivables from SpaceX.
