Singapore Gulf Bank Expands 24/7 Dollar Payments With BNY

Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) is extending its US dollar payment services beyond conventional banking hours through a new arrangement with BNY, allowing eligible transactions to settle during weekends and US public holidays. The Bahrain-based digital bank announced the expansion on October 12, adding BNY’s 24/7 USD Book Transfers service to its international payment infrastructure. The arrangement targets a persistent problem in cross-border banking: companies operating across different time zones often need access to dollar liquidity when US payment systems are not processing conventional transfers.
