Singapore Crypto Scam Losses Fall 43% in 2026 Midyear Data

Singapore’s cryptocurrency scam losses fell 43% year over year to about $51.1 million during the 2026 midyear period, highlighting a decline in reported losses alongside expanded prevention efforts. Losses fell from about $89.6 million in the previous period. Coinbase characterized part of the decline as reflecting work by Singapore’s Anti-Scam Centre (ASC), Coinbase and other partners and service providers. Coinbase’s Global Intelligence team and the ASC conducted four joint operations that helped identify more than 720 potential scam victims. The operations also helped prevent more than $14.7 million in potential losses.
