The Saudi-led coalition reported on Friday that it successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone over Saudi Arabia’s Mecca region. This incident adds to the ongoing tensions between the Saudi coalition and the Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen. While the coalition confirmed the interception, details regarding the drone’s origin, intended target, or potential damage were not disclosed.
