Sandisk Falls More Than 12% as U.S. Chip Stocks Extend Losses

U.S. semiconductor and storage shares extended their losses in early trading Thursday, with declines above 10% at Sandisk, Seagate Technology, Western Digital and chipmaker AMD. Sandisk (SNDK) was down 12.14%. Seagate Technology (STX) lost 10.85%, and Western Digital (WDC) fell 10.90%. AMD was down 10.97%, a decline comparable to those at the two storage firms. Other chipmakers posted smaller losses: Micron (MU) fell 8.10%, Intel (INTC) declined 6.20%, and Nvidia (NVDA) dropped 4.11%. The declines widened from premarket trading for several companies.
