HumanLayer Joins Factory as Teams Begin Building Together

Factory announced Nov. 4 that HumanLayer is joining the company, bringing a coding-agent collaboration platform into its business as the teams are already building together at Factory. HumanLayer is a platform for collaborating with coding agents. Dex Horthy and Kyle Mistele are also joining Factory as part of the move. Factory is an enterprise AI software engineering company. Factory plans to open-source HumanLayer. During the transition, users can export their data, migrate to Factory or self-host the open-source version of HumanLayer. These are three separate options: taking data out, moving to Factory or hosting the software themselves.
