Samsung Wallet Brings USDC Into the Smartphone Payment Stack

Samsung is preparing to integrate USDC transfers directly into Samsung Wallet, bringing stablecoin functionality to its existing smartphone payment platform rather than launching a separate cryptocurrency application. The service, scheduled for the final week of October, will allow eligible U.S. Galaxy users to send digital dollars to compatible wallets and bank accounts in more than 60 countries. USDC will be the first supported stablecoin and the default dollar option under the wallet’s new “Buy Stablecoin” feature. The integration brings together Samsung, Coinbase, Bastion, Solana and Sui, with each handling a different part of the transaction process.
