S&P 500's Other 493 Companies Forecast to Outgrow Magnificent Seven in Q4

The S&P 500's 493 companies outside the Magnificent Seven are projected to deliver stronger year-over-year earnings growth in the fourth quarter, a lead they have not held since the fourth quarter of 2022. Earnings for the 493 companies are forecast to rise 30.6% from a year earlier, compared with 23.6% for the Magnificent Seven. The comparison remains a forecast; it does not reflect completed fourth-quarter results. The third-quarter picture runs the other way. The seven are estimated to post 33.2% earnings growth, ahead of 27.7% for the rest of the index.
