Russia’s A7 settlement system plans to launch a USDT-based cross-border payments service on Oct. 13, offering trade participants a way to fund international invoices with cryptocurrency while receiving fiat through banks. The service, A7 International, will charge a fixed 0.3% fee. It is aimed primarily at foreign-trade businesses, although individuals will also be allowed to use it. Customers can pay an invoice denominated in a foreign currency with Tether’s USDT. The funds will then be delivered in the recipient’s requested currency through a standard SWIFT bank transfer, combining a stablecoin payment step with traditional international settlement rails.
