Ripple Executive Says XRP Is Used in Cross-Border Payments

Sendi Young, Ripple's managing director for Europe, said XRP (XRP) is used in Ripple's cross-border payments and the company hopes to integrate it more closely with its solutions and XRP Ledger functionality. “We do leverage XRP, which is a specific digital asset that is native on the XRP Ledger ... we’re leveraging this digital asset for the cross-border payments,” Young said. She also said Ripple hopes to do more with XRP and connect it more closely with its solutions and the ledger's functionality. Young described the XRP Ledger as a public, decentralized blockchain separate from Ripple.
