ETHGas Founder Says Compensation for Missed Commitments Is Zero

ETHGas is developing a service that would let regulated firms reserve Ethereum block capacity, and founder Kevin Lepsoe says compensation for missed commitments is currently zero. The proposed Institutional Blockspace service would allow banks, regulated trading desks, asset managers, custodians and infrastructure providers to reserve block capacity in advance. Firms could set sanctions-screening checks, transaction-ordering rules and requirements for validators before transactions enter a block. Settlement would remain on public Ethereum, adding controls around transaction inclusion without moving transactions to a separate network. ETHGas' product description includes using known or onshore validators.
