Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed Iran’s position on a possible resolution of the conflict to President Donald Trump, the Kremlin said Saturday, adding a geopolitical dimension to a U.S.-Russia diesel arrangement announced as fuel prices rise. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin delivered the message with the agreement of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Putin had met Pezeshkian during a summit in Turkmenistan before speaking with Trump by phone. The details of Iran’s proposed path to end the conflict were not disclosed. The war began Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets.
