Polygon Rolls Out US-Regulated Payments With Completed Coinme Deal

Polygon Labs has completed its acquisition of crypto payments company Coinme, bringing regulated U.S. payment capabilities to its Open Money Stack platform and expanding its push into stablecoin-powered financial services. Polygon Labs announced Wednesday, Oct. 14, that it has finalized its acquisition of Coinme , giving its payments business regulatory coverage across 48 U.S. states through 37 state money transmitter licenses and 11 applicable exemptions. The business is also registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a money services business.
