Pepenardo’s Six Magazine-and-Card Sets Sell Out After Launch

Pepenardo has turned six copies of The 2036 Issue into custom artworks, pairing each altered magazine with two one-of-one trading cards. Collectors acquired every set soon after release, extending the knight imagery across marked-up magazines and paired cards. Pepenardo drew on each cover with a Sharpie and signed it. Each copy also has a gold-ink signature inside, on a spread featuring his painting THE DREAMER. Across the covers, the imagery includes the Sleeping Knights, the masked rider from FAKEGENESIS, Dorian Nakamoto and Pepe the Frog. Pepenardo said he noticed blank space on the covers and thought it invited a drawing.
