PaperTrade, an on-chain perpetual-futures protocol, has reportedly attracted $140 million in deposits before altering a key aspect of its tokenomics. The protocol initially intended to allow its PAPER token to be transferable but has now canceled these plans, leaving the token non-transferable. This move has raised concerns among market participants about the token’s liquidity and market viability. The protocol’s decision to change its issuance model has also heightened fears of dilution for early token recipients. Current market pricing reflects significant uncertainty regarding the future fully diluted valuation (FDV) of PaperTrade.
