OpenAI Plans to Merge ChatGPT’s Chat and Work Tabs for Users

OpenAI plans to bring ChatGPT’s Chat and Work tabs together, combining conversations and task-focused features in one experience. The company will first make the change available to select users for feedback before a wider rollout. In the combined experience, users will be able to bring files and plugins into ChatGPT, ask it to build websites or create presentations, and delegate web tasks while reviewing and guiding the work. Codex will remain a separate experience in ChatGPT’s desktop app. After the transition, ChatGPT and Codex will draw from the same token allowance pool.
