OpenAI hires SpaceX’s Graham Seamans to lead cybersecurity sales

The former xAI sales leader is the third senior seller OpenAI has pulled from the SpaceX orbit in roughly a month OpenAI has hired Graham Seamans away from SpaceX to run sales for its cybersecurity business, according to Bloomberg. Seamans comes from the SpaceX-linked xAI, where he led sales operations. He joined xAI in August 2025 and was central to pitching the Grok chatbot to enterprise customers, with Wall Street firms a particular focus. The hire was reported on October 16, 2026. Seamans is not a lone defector.
