OpenAI President Greg Brockman has indicated that the company may be ready for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2027, following a surge in revenue during the third quarter of 2026. Brockman made the statement during a Wall Street Journal technology conference, highlighting that enterprise customers now contribute more than half of OpenAI’s revenue. The suggestion of a 2027 IPO comes as the company continues to expand its product line, including the launch of GPT-5.6 Sol and ChatGPT Work. OpenAI’s IPO plans had previously been delayed, with the company focusing on fundraising and product development.
