Nvidia’s Q3 FY2027 preview puts a $279 billion supply bet under the spotlight

The chipmaker's long-term supply and capacity commitments more than doubled in a quarter, testing the limits of its asset-light fabless model Nvidia built an empire by designing chips and letting other companies worry about the factories. That arrangement now comes with a $279 billion footnote. Ahead of its fiscal third-quarter 2027 results, the company’s latest 10-Q shows long-term supply and capacity agreements totaling $279 billion as of July 26, 2026. One quarter earlier, the figure stood at $119 billion. The earnings release is expected around November 17 to 18, 2026.
