Nvidia (NVDA) Stock Drops After Jensen Huang Says He Would Stop Chips for Unsafe AI

CEO Jensen Huang said he would stop supplying chips to a developer of unsafe AI, calling it “a hypothetical, but yes.” Nvidia is donating $250 million over five years to UK AI safety research, including work at Oxford and UCL. Huang dismissed AI bubble concerns and said demand for AI infrastructure will exceed component supply for several years. Chip stocks led declines in U.S. trading, and Bharti Airtel’s Sunil Mittal urged governments to act early on AI rules.
