Blockchain.com has launched options trading through its Trading Account for eligible users in supported jurisdictions, adding short-dated directional contracts across seven cryptocurrencies. The company announced the product on October 20, 2026, in a release published via PR Newswire . The new contracts are funded in USDC and are designed with a defined loss at purchase: the premium paid plus the upfront fee is the most a buyer can lose. That limit comes with a significant restriction, however. Positions cannot be sold or otherwise closed before they settle, according to Blockchain.com’s product documentation.
