Norway's natural gas output fell 12.6% in September from August, a decline for a major European Union (EU) supplier as the bloc heads into winter with below-normal gas storage. Preliminary figures put daily production at an average of 298.4 million standard cubic meters, down from 341.6 million in August. September output was 6.7% below forecast but still 5.1% higher than in September 2025. Gas sales declined to 9.0 billion standard cubic meters from 10.6 billion a month earlier. Norway supplied 31% of EU natural gas imports in 2025, compared with 26% from the United States.
