Nokia Posts €0.09 Comparable Q3 EPS, €0.03 Above Consensus

Nokia’s comparable diluted earnings per share hit €0.09 for the third quarter, topping its pre-quarter average by €0.03 as net sales grew 10% year over year. The Oct. 15 consensus was €0.06 per share and €5.054 billion in net sales. Nokia’s €5.154 billion in sales exceeded that estimate by €100 million. Sales rose from €4.7 billion a year earlier, or 9% on a constant-currency basis. Comparable operating profit increased 35% to €605 million. Reported operating profit fell 22% to €196 million. The gap primarily reflected €357 million in restructuring and associated charges, plus other items.
