Noble Posts $117 Million Q3 Loss as Revenue Falls 8.7%

Noble Corporation plc posted a $117.024 million net loss for the quarter ended Sept. 30 as revenue fell 8.7% from a year earlier to $728.764 million. The offshore drilling contractor recorded a $21.095 million loss and $798.017 million in revenue in the year-earlier quarter. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were a loss of 57 cents, compared with adjusted earnings of 19 cents per share a year earlier. Diluted GAAP earnings per share were a loss of 73 cents. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $201 million, down from $212 million in the second quarter and $254 million a year earlier.
