Nintendo Switch 2 Sales Fall 41% as Annual Forecast Holds Steady

Nintendo sold 2.67 million Switch 2 consoles in its fiscal second quarter, down 41% from a year earlier, while maintaining its annual sales target after raising prices in several markets. The quarter ended Sept. 30. Console sales also fell from 3.82 million in the preceding quarter. Nintendo raised Switch 2 prices in the United States, Canada and Japan during the September quarter, though the sales figures do not establish how much the increases affected demand. Nintendo had also raised the console’s price in Japan earlier in the year.
