In an October 9, 2026 interview with CNBC, Commissioner Adam Silver said the league is seeking access to prediction market data. The goal is to monitor for manipulation and police insider trading on contracts tied to its games and business. Silver also wants the league to have more control over the kinds of markets platforms are allowed to offer.
