Nasdaq Composite Gain Reaches 1% as U.S. Stocks Advance

U.S. stocks advanced in uneven trading on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite’s gain reaching 1% and outpacing the Dow and S&P 500 in a market snapshot relevant to crypto traders tracking broader risk appetite. At 11:38 a.m. ET (15:38 UTC) Oct. 21, the Nasdaq Composite was up 1.00%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.22%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.43%, leaving all three major indexes higher. Several large stocks also advanced. Nvidia was up 1.71% and Apple gained 1.56%. Tesla rose 3.49%, Meta added 2.49% and Palantir climbed 3.52%. SpaceX was up 9.97% in the same snapshot.
