Morgan Stanley projects that AI hyperscalers will consume nearly $600 billion in cash by 2027, putting a figure on expected cash use by the group as AI computing investment grows. The nearly $600 billion figure is a forecast, not cash already spent. It applies to AI hyperscalers rather than the entire AI industry. Morgan Stanley has separately projected that global AI computing investment by hyperscalers and neocloud companies will reach $1.583 trillion in 2027. That estimate includes $1.388 trillion in cash capital spending and $195 billion in lease investment.
