Morgan Stanley aims for $3T to $10T tokenized asset market by 2030, targets Q1 2027 for tokenized equities

Morgan Stanley projects that the global market for tokenized assets may surge to between $3 trillion and $10 trillion by 2030, according to insights shared by Amy Oldenburg, Head of Digital Asset Strategy. The bank’s updated forecast underscores intensifying institutional confidence in digital asset tokenization, despite slightly surpassing the firm’s research base-case estimate of $2.3 trillion by the decade’s end. Morgan Stanley has rescheduled its timeline for rolling out tokenized equity trading from the second half of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027.
