Metaplanet Wins Approval for 2,100 BTC US Treasury Deal

Metaplanet has moved closer to establishing a US-listed Bitcoin treasury platform after Super League Enterprise shareholders approved key proposals linked to its planned investment of 2,100 BTC. The deal would transform the Nasdaq-listed gaming media company into Superplanet, a Bitcoin-focused subsidiary of the Japanese firm, extending its treasury strategy into the US capital market. Under the agreement announced by Super League on August 18, Metaplanet will contribute 2,100 BTC and $2.5 million in cash in exchange for newly issued shares, preferred stock and warrants. The Bitcoin was valued at approximately $132.1 million using the August 14 reference price.
