Meritz Securities and Canton Foundation to Study Tokenization of Korean Assets

Meritz Securities and the Canton Foundation plan to examine how South Korean financial assets could be tokenized and whether Canton Network can support institutional capital-market activity, opening a review that also includes cross-border use cases. Meritz held the signing ceremony at its Seoul headquarters in early October. The parties will consider tokenization within applicable South Korean regulations, assess Canton’s privacy-enabled infrastructure for the domestic capital market and potentially engage other Canton Network participants. The domestic review combines two questions: how Korean financial assets could be tokenized and how Canton’s infrastructure might serve institutional markets.
